Workshop 1: Togethering with Robyn Breen (Main Stage)
Robyn Breen is a dance artist and movement educator. Born and raised in St. John’s, NL, and spent over a dozen years living and working in Toronto, Ontario. Since 2021, she has been spending most of her time back home in Newfoundland reconnecting with the arts community. As a choreographer and movement coach, Robyn values community and care. Her work encourages agency while balancing individuality with unity.
About the Workshop:
Togethering is a group movement workshop for sensing community with care. We start inside and work our way outward. We practice connecting to each other in movement in the moment. We practice choice making by editing group dynamics in real time. We practice hearing, seeing, sensing each other in space. We value unity over unison. We dance.

Workshop 2: Kuthu with Nikhilesh Paliath (Main Stage)
Nikhilesh Paliath (Niks) is a versatile dancer with experience in Indian contemporary, Bollywood Style, Indian Hip Hop, and South Indian folk styles. He has performed in multicultural dance teams and has led dance teams of up to 20 members for competitions & big stage performances. He’s also part of other dance teams such as Bollywood Jig, Rhythm Village and Townie Ballerinas. He’s been part of performances for Canada Games Arta Vista, Canada Day celebrations, Holdfast Festival, Short Play Festival, Memorial University welcome week, Multicultural shows, community events etc. He has led beginner and intermediate level workshops on South India Street dances for Rhythm Village, Big Steppers NL, Training Exchange and also at several schools as part of Multicultural month.
About the Workshop:
Niks would be leading a beginner level workshop on South Indian Street dance - Kuthu. Kuthu is a high energy dance form that evolved from community celebrations in South India. Over the years, Kuthu has had influences from other dance forms such Hip Hop, Afro and Latin American styles. The workshop would encourage participants to explore fun ways to express emotions through dance.

Workshop 3: Self Producing Panel (Main Stage)
About the Panel:
One of the most requested topics from participants, this panel focuses on the realities of self-producing dance work. Together, we’ll unpack what it takes to bring a project from idea to stage, including working with venues, managing logistics, understanding technical expectations, and building a realistic budget.
This is a practical, experience-driven conversation designed to demystify the process and offer tangible tools for artists creating their own opportunities.

Workshop 4: Line Dance with Mary Kennedy (Main Stage)
About the Workshop:
Join Mary Kennedy for a fun and welcoming line dancing session where everyone is invited to jump in and get moving. Line dancing is a style of group dancing where people dance in rows, following simple steps together to music. No partner or previous experience is needed.
Mary will guide the group through dances step by step so everyone can join in. The goal is to have a good laugh, move our bodies, and enjoy dancing together as a community.
Come ready to have a hoot, try something new, and leave with a few line dancing steps under your belt.
