Watching the Detectives: Viewpoints Workshop

Watching the Detectives at Cameo, October 2025

As their 2026 Artist Residency with Untellable Movement Theatre comes to a close, Watching the Detectives (Philip Goodridge and Jaimie Tait) invite artists and community members to join them for a Viewpoints workshop on Monday, November 2, from 7:30–9:30 PM at Lynn Panting Dance, 30 Harvey Road.

Throughout their residency, Philip and Jaimie have been exploring movement, collaboration, and the ways we create meaning together. A central part of their process has been Anne Bogart and Tina Landau’s Viewpoints methodology, a movement practice that explores time, space, and relationship.

Viewpoints provides a structure for improvisation and composition that is both rigorous and open. It encourages participants to respond to one another, make discoveries in real time, and develop a shared physical language.

This workshop offers an opportunity to experience some of the practices that have informed Watching the Detectives' creative process. It is open to artists and community members interested in movement, ensemble building, and collaborative creation. No previous experience with Viewpoints is required.
